If your car came with one key, getting a spare starts with a few useful details. The make and model are a start, but the year, type of key and whether it still starts the car help identify the right option. Before visiting Multiservices at Robina Town Centre, use this checklist to prepare.
Bring the key you use now
Bring your working key, including its remote if that is a separate unit. Tell us what you want the new key to do: start the car, operate the remote locking, or provide the same proximity features as your current key.
A cracked case does not necessarily mean you need a complete new key. Multiservices also rebuilds suitable keys by transferring existing electronics into replacement housing. If the buttons or case are your main concern, show us the damage before deciding on a duplicate.
If you have other keys, mention them when you call. Also say whether they start the vehicle or only unlock a door. That distinction matters when discussing a working spare.
Have these vehicle details ready
Make, model and year: for example, Toyota Corolla rather than simply Toyota.
How it starts: a key turned in the ignition or a push-button start.
What still works: starting, remote locking and any keyless-entry functions.
Any relevant history: a replacement ignition, aftermarket alarm or previous key repair.
Have photo identification and proof of vehicle ownership available, and ask which documents are needed for your job.
Call before making a special trip to find out whether the vehicle needs to be present. The work depends on the key system: a spare may involve cutting a blade, cloning a compatible transponder or programming a key to the vehicle. Bringing only the loose key is not suitable for every job.
Ask about the complete key before agreeing to a quote
Ask which functions the quote includes and whether any cutting or programming is required. A basic spare, a remote key and a proximity key are different products; the case shape alone does not tell you what you are buying.
Our car keys by make and model directory is a useful starting point. If you need two duplicate keys for the same car, read the second-key offer and ask about eligibility before ordering.
Before you visit
Can I get a spare for any model year?
Availability depends on the vehicle and key system. Give us your details first so we can discuss a suitable option.
What if I have lost every key?
Tell us at the start. An all-keys-lost situation is different from copying a working key; call to discuss the next step rather than assuming the standard duplication service applies.
